The town of Sorrento is located at the southwestern end of (Mornington Peninsula), the Monington Peninsula, south of Victoria's capital, Melbourne, about 100km from downtown Melbourne.
The town itself, like hundreds of small towns in Australia, is quiet and beautiful, but not famous, but many self-driving tourists use Sorrento as the starting point for the (Great Ocean Road) self-driving trip on Oceania Road. Because from here the pier can take the Ocean Road ferry (Searoad Ferry), across the beautiful Filip Bay (Port Phillp Bay), after about 40 minutes of sailing to (Queenscliff), the small town of (Bellarine Peninsula) on the other side of the Bellain Peninsula. Start a self-driving journey on the ocean road.
In addition, Sorrento has a trip with dolphin seals, which is interesting, and (Point Nepean National Park), which is just 4 kilometers from Sorrento, is worth visiting.
