Rutherglen

Introduction of Rutherglen

Rutherglen is a small town in the north-central state of Victoria, about 290km by car from Melbourne, the capital of Victoria, near the border between the Murray River (Murray River) and New South Wales. About 50 kilometers by car from (Albury), a major town in north-central Victoria.

Rutherglen was once a gold mining town in the mid-19th century, and with the decline of the mining industry, wine became the main industry in the town, and Rutherglen produced unique, sweet and delicious Muscat and Topaque wines. The natural sweetness of the later harvest period strengthens its alcohol content by up to 18%, then cooked in oak barrels for several years to increase its complexity. Rutherglen-growing grapes mature long and dry until autumn. It has created ideal conditions for making fortified wine.
