Orange is a small town located in the central and western region of new south wales (The Central West), about 250 kilometers from the capital of new south wales Sydney with a permanent population of about 40000 people, and is the third largest city in the central and western region of new south wales after barthurst (Bathurst) and dabo (Dubbo).
Named after Prince William of Orange( later king of the netherlands), Orange and its surroundings are becoming increasingly famous for its cool climate and fertile volcanic soil, its rich produce of drupes, goat cheese, fungi and grapes, and its picturesque inland pastoral landscape.
Orange has a long history and a deep culture, visitors can take a walk on the Orange tree-lined urban heritage trail that connects 40 historic sites, see the neoclassical courts, walk on churches with stained glass and pressed metal roofs, visit the Dentreigo Tower of the eighteenth century, and pay tribute to the folk singer who created the famous "jungle wandering" at the monument near the birthplace of Banjo Patterson.
