Northam

Introduction of Northam

Northam is a small town in (Avon Valley), Western Australia, about 90 kilometers by car from Perth, the capital of Western Australia, with a permanent population of about 7000 people.

Located at the intersection of (Avon River) and (Mortlock River), Northam is the largest non-mining-based town in Western Australia.

Northam has a range of tourist destinations, including wine-rich wineries, cultural museums, well-equipped resorts and more, as well as unique cafes, restaurants and hotels that facilitate guests' clothing, accommodation and travel. The Ifen River is an important entertainment area for Northam and an important bird-watching area, and beautiful white swans are the most common. They play in the river, and the Northam flyover across the Ivan River, (Suspension Footbridge), is Australia's longest pedestrian flyover. It is the ideal place to enjoy and shoot white swans from above.
