Kununurra

Introduction of Kununurra

Kununurra is located in (East Kimberley Region), northeast Western Australia, about 3200 kilometers by car from Perth, the capital of Western Australia, and 820km from Darwin, the capital of the Northern Territory. It is close to the resident population of about 5000 people.

Located in the remote interior, Kununurra is the gateway to some extraordinary natural landscapes in the East Kimberley area of (East Kimberley) and Western Australia, close to (Mirima National Park), the small town of Mirima National Park. It is also one of the closest towns of Honolulu National Park to the famous (Lake Argyle) of Lake Agger and the world's natural and cultural heritage, (Purnululu National Park). Pari lagoon Nature Reserve (Parry Lagoons Nature Reserve) is ideal for bird watching, with a variety of migratory birds.

Flights from Darwin, Bloom (Broome) and other places have direct flights to Kununurra's East Kimberley area airport, (East Kimberley Regional Airport), and from other cities need to be transferred.

Bloom (Broome), Derby (Derby) and Kununurra are the three largest towns in the Kimberley area.
