Ingham

Introduction of Ingham

Ingham is a small town in northeast Queensland, about 110km south from (Townsville), a major seaport town in eastern Queensland, and 235km north from the famous tourist city of Cairns.

Ingham has been settled by European colonists since 1864 and was officially named Ingham. in 1882. Sugarcane farming is a pillar industry in Ingham and surrounding areas. (Victoria Sugar Mill), a Victorian sugar factory located in the eastern outskirts of Ingham town, is one of the largest sugar mills in the southern hemisphere, and tourism is also an important industry in Ingham. Thanks to the early settlers of Italians, Spaniards, and Basques, the town was brimming with Mediterranean customs, in addition to the Wamamain Falls (Wallaman Falls), about 50 kilometers west of the town. (Jourama Falls), about 30 kilometers south of the town, and (Hinchinbrook Island), about 20 kilometers north of the town, are well-known tourist destinations in Queensland.
