Introduction of Bendigo

Located in central Victoria, about 150km from Victoria's capital, Melbourne, Bendigo is Victoria's fourth-largest city.

Bendigo has a long history that is rare in Australia. It is simple and quiet. It does not see the bustle and bustle of any modern city. It is often isolated from modern times, and there is no fast-paced pace of life and work. Also rare is the dazzling nocturnal neon. Bendigo nurtures very talented craftsmen, carefully guards beautiful historic buildings, and has one of the most prestigious art galleries in Victoria. Bendigo has no broad streets, but its buildings are historic. And multi-cultural color, a variety of Indian, Malaysian, Chinese, French and Italian small shops.

As a legacy of the gold rush, Bendigo has many ornate, Victorian-style late colonial buildings that provide Bendigo with a "French" style, more important of which are the Bendigo municipal building, the post office, the courthouse, and so on. These buildings are in the style of the French second Reich and are properly protected by the municipal government. Bendigo's Holy Heart Cathedral, Australia's third largest cathedral, is a sandstone building whose main building was completed between 1896 and 1908. The clock tower was completed in 1954 and 1977, respectively. Bendigo's temple, a temple built by Chinese miners in the 1860s, is the only building in Victoria that has been preserved and is still in use as a temple today. Rosalind Park (Rosalind Park), near the center of the city, is a Victorian park with sculptures and a granite elevated water bridge. In addition, you can visit the gold mines of the past, as well as the modern technical museum and tram museum.

Bendigo's national music festival is the largest in the Southern Hemisphere in early November, attracting participants from across Australia and around the world.
