Beechworth

Introduction of Beechworth

Beechworth is located in Melbourne northwest, about 285km from Melbourne, resident population of about 3000 people.

Beechworth is one of Australia's best-preserved 19th-century gold towns, a tourist destination with a human history as an attraction, and most public buildings on the streets remain like the 19th century. Every building in the town seemed to traverse the gold rush of the 19th century. The streets look very neat, because most of the buildings are built in the same era, similar in style and with the same color of granite, a small town full of memories of the prosperous past. Now the most famous is its small brewery, honey and various delicacies, and the most recommended attraction is the old Beechworth prison (Old Beechworth Gaol), which seems to be able to feel the temperature remaining on the brick while walking through it, and it's also beautiful. Mountain overlooking, the whole town full view, is a good place to see the sunrise.
