The tax cuts will divide Sydney and the country as a whole.
This is the conclusion of the analysis of the three-stage income tax reduction proposed by government.
According to an analysis commissioned by the Australian Institute, West Sydney received less tax savings than the national average.
(NATSEM), the national social and economic modelling centre that produced the report, said tax savings in Sydney`s east and north sectors were higher than average.
The study found that high-income earners in the Wentworth seat constituency would enjoy the biggest tax cuts, the seats held by Prime Minister Tan Bao. These taxpayers will receive nearly twice as much tax savings as the average.
Across the country, tax savings in the top 10 districts are at least 1.5 times the national average.
"it`s actually a tax cut that benefits high-income people and leaves everyone else behind," the Australian Institute said.
From the point of view of political parties, it is clear that tax cuts offer the least benefit to the seats of the national party. "1/4 of the National Party seats are in the bottom 10, all in the last five, with one exception."
The other two lower-than-average seats are Longman of Queensland and Braddon, of Tata, which will hold by-elections next month.
Among the most beneficial federal constituencies in Sydney, the top three are in the eastern and northern parts of the city, with Wentworth,North Sydney and Warringah, holding seats by the Liberal Party.
Labour`s inner city of Sydney, which holds seats, and Grayndler are fourth and sixth.
On the other hand, the three constituencies that benefited the least, Chifley,Watson and Blaxland, all Labour seats, are located in the west side of Sydney.
"tax cuts are selective. It mainly benefits high-income areas and wealthy inner-city voters, "said Matt, senior economist at the Australian Institute. Grodnov (Matt Grudnoff) said.
"the biggest winners are rich districts in Melbourne and inner Sydney, and losers across the country, both in sub-developed and urban districts."
The study recommends that the government cut tax breaks in areas to preserve the earnings of low-and middle-income earners, but reduce or eliminate those with higher incomes.
Tan Bao called it the most comprehensive personal income tax reform in a generation.
This, he argues, means 94% of Australians do not have to pay a tax rate of more than 32.5%.
