At the weekend, two men were stabbed and chopped by machetes in Melbourne`s CBD nightclub, Inflation, while a 24-year-old man was remanded for trial.
Before 01:30 on Saturday, (Vincent Hwang, Huang of Mount Waverley reportedly entered the King Street nightclub and confronted two men in the basement of the nightclub.
One victim`s torso was stabbed, his lungs and diaphragm pierced, and another man`s face and wrist cut. The men were first treated by staff, police and paramedics before being taken to hospital.
Surveillance video showed a man under the control of several security guards who were understood to have locked him in the bathroom compartment until police arrived at 01:30 to take him away.
Mr Wong was charged with several serious crimes, including two counts of wilfully causing injury under severe violence.
It is not clear what led to the attack, but it is not believed to have happened at random.
Robert Buck, the manager of Inflation, said the nightclub`s security personnel had taken control of the situation and protected the safety of other customers.
In July last year, two customers were killed at a swing party at the club by heavily armed police officer shoot, which is being investigated by the state`s corruption watchdog.
The shoot incident followed years of intense friction and tension between, King Street`s nightclub and the police.
