Police blasting team personnel arrived at the scene this afternoon when suspicious items were seen on a bus in downtown Melbourne, passengers were evacuated, the police blast team arrived on the scene for investigation, according to Channel 9.

Near 02:30 this afternoon, suspicious objects appeared on a bus near Melbourne District Court (Melbourne Magistrates Court).

After receiving the report, police arrived at the junction of (King Street) on King Street and (Lonsdale Street) on Longsdale Street to inspect the bus and surrounding environment.

The state police said passengers were evacuated for safety reasons.

The blasting team entered the scene for investigation. There was a large number of police forces at the scene. Longsdale Street crossroads, King Street and so on were closed, leading to traffic congestion.

By around 03:45, police confirmed there were no security threats in the area and closed roads were reopened.
