A bartender at Chin, a prominent Asian restaurant in (Flinders Lane), Flinders Lane, Melbourne, filed a lawsuit against the owner after claiming that she had been deducted from her salary, according to news channel 9.

Harlop (Sorcha Harrop), 24, accused the restaurant of withholding her A $9454 in wages and pensions between October 2016 and July this year.

"it is the workers and the quality of service that determine the income at the Chin Chin," she said in a statement. But some of us work 14 hours a day and 12 hours a week are free. "

She filed an indictment with Melbourne Magistrates Court (Melbourne Magistrates Court) on November 20.

In addition, images circulating on social media showed a large group of people gathered outside the Chin door on the afternoon of Nov. 20, holding up the slogan "Take Wage Theft Off The Menu (takes the stolen wages off the menu)."

Chin owner Lucas (Chris Lucas), a restaurant tycoon, said he had been informed of Harlop`s allegations and was working with her to "settle".

Travel guide Lonely Planet (Lonely Planet) once named Chin as the "preferred restaurant" for (CBD) Southeast Asian cuisine in Melbourne`s central business district.
