On Thursday, 24-year-old Ibrahim Abbas testified on court that his 23-year-old brother, Hamza Abbas,27 `s cousin Abdullah Chaarani, and 25-year-old friend Admed Mohamed had plotted to carry out a terrorist attack in Melbourne on Christmas Day 2016, the Guardian reported.

Ibrahim Abbas said he was "more enthusiastic or impatient" when he discussed an attack with Mohamed on December 21, 2016. In a recording played by court, Ibrahim Abbas and Mohamed discuss preparing the bomb vest on Sunday (Christmas).

A man suspected of terrorist attacks told court that he had been enthusiastic about Melbourne

"it doesn`t mean there will be a terrorist attack on Sunday, but I`m fully prepared for an attack on Sunday," Ibrahim Abbas said. He wants to start that day or the next day in a bomb vest. He said he believed that once there was a vest, others would be ready to decide whether to attack.

He added that he and the defendants had previously discussed how other terrorist attacks had been carried out, but had not discussed how they would carry out terrorist attacks in the future.

When they visited Melbourne on December 20, 2016, Ibrahim said he had hinted that Commonwealth Square was "the most appropriate place for a terrorist attack," and asked them to "imagine a terrorist attack here."

The judge and 14 jurors will continue to try the case.
