Australia`s Metropolitan Daily October 31 (intern reporter Han Huaiqing) recently, Australia`s Sydney supermarket chain Woolworths milk powder shelves posted a notice about the purchase of milk powder restrictions. Due to increased demand for milk powder, only two barrels of milk powder are allowed to be purchased per customer. If the desired product cannot be found on the shelf, please contact its staff to provide assistance.

In addition to the English notice, the supermarket also placed Chinese notice on the shelves of some popular dairy products. Australian local media said the move was to prevent many buyers from buying large quantities of milk powder and selling it to China.

It is reported that the strength of this milk powder purchase restrictions is greater than before. Many shops lock and secure magnetic strips of milk powder from some well-known brands.

With China opening up its two-child policy, Australia`s well-known milk powder supply is in short supply. Since the end of 2015, Coles, a local supermarket chain, has tightened the policy of restricting the purchase of milk powder from four cans per person (all brands) to two cans at a time. In August, Australian television program < A Current Affair > revealed that Australian Chinese "purchasing agents" three generations to their garage to carry milk powder. On September 14 of the same year, the Glen Waverley area of Melbourne revealed that local Chinese had emptied all the shelves with well-known brands of milk powder.
