A Coles supermarket in eastern Melbourne received an emergency evacuation of bomb threat, staff and customers yesterday. After screening, police said it was a false threat and they did not find any dangerous goods.

Australia`s Radio 9 news reported that around 12:00 today, the Coles store in Toorak Rd,Hawthorn East received an emergency plan immediately launched by bomb threat, Coles, evacuating all personnel inside the store.

Immediately after the police arrived at the scene, security checks were carried out, but no items were found. A spokesman for the state police said: "We believe this is a false threat and is now investigating."
