Australia`s government has already marked some occupations to be removed from the list of skilled immigrants. In the future, visa applicants must be nominated on these lists in order to obtain applications for skilled immigrants from Australia.

The (Department of Jobs and Small Business), the Employment and small Business Department, regularly reviews the list of skilled immigrants to make sure that these skills are really needed by Australia`s labour and job markets. In order to implement this reform, the employment sector has consulted with various industries, employers, trade unions and individuals.

Recently, the Employment Department released a "traffic light" notice (traffic light bulletin), set out to adjust the list of skilled immigrants, and hoped to invite public opinion by June 20.

The following are identified occupations that are recommended for adjustment:

For the unmentioned occupations, the Employment and small Business Department has yet to make adjustments.

At the same time, as of June 1, the Home Affairs Department (Department of Home Affairs) had no longer accepted a new Class 405 investor retirement visa (Investor Retirement Visa) application.

According to Australia`s government, investor retirement visas (category 405) allow visa holders to live and work in Australia with their partners, which is inconsistent with Australia`s economic priority principle. The change does not apply to people who have applied for the visa in the past, who can still apply for renewal.

Under previous investor retirement visa requirements, applicants over the age of 55 who invest A $75000 or more in Australia with an annual income of A $65000 or more will be allowed to live in Australia for up to four years. Four years later, if applicants continue to apply, they will need to buy only A $ five hundred thousand (designated areas) or A $ two hundred and fifty thousand (remote areas) every four years.
