A horse racing horse from Ireland accidentally fell down and was euthanized on the spot during the Melbourne Cup Horse Festival (Melbourne Cup) race today.

Ireland`s 5-year-old Cliffsofmoher, a 5-year-old horse race from Ireland, accidentally fell 600 meters after leaving, injuring his right shoulder, the Daily Mail reported Tuesday at 3 p.m., at the 158th Melbourne Cup Horse Festival. It was then euthanized on the spot at (Flemington Racecourse) at Flemington Racecourse.

The 3200-meter international class, with a total prize of A $7.3 million, was eventually topped by the Cross Counter horse race.

The Cliffsofmoher reportedly showed signs of anxiety before the game began, and commentator called it "melting like ice cream."

Anderson (Shane Anderson), editor-in-chief of Racing.com, has confirmed its tragic endings.

The death of Cliffsofmoher is expected to trigger a new round of criticism by animal rights activists against Melbourne Cup Horse Festival. At the 2014 Melbourne Cup Horse Festival, two horses collapsed and died after the race. Then, in 2015, the racehorse Red Cadeaux was euthanized for a broken leg.
