According to < The Age > reports, police said around 2:40 this morning, a passer-by found a woman in the soccer stadium at the junction of Royal Parade and Princes Park Drive in Carlton North.
The woman, believed to be in her thirties, has not been officially identified by police.
Emergency services received a call to the scene, paramedics carried out emergency treatment of the woman, but failed to restore signs of life.
The case is currently under investigation, and police have blocked the court.
Police suspect the woman`s death may be linked to a recent incident in which a woman suffered sexual invasion in a nearby park.
Police warned the public to remain vigilant and said they would conduct a 24-hour patrol near Princes Park, where the woman`s body was found.
