Queensland Cairns hot swimming pool appears to pose a "unacceptable" risk to the public alligator, ranger shot and killed.

The Queensland Department of Environment and Science, (Department of Environment and Science), confirmed that wildlife officials had humanely shot a 2.2-meter-long salt alligator, the Messenger Post reported. The crocodile, which haunts the Ross and Locke Nature Reserve along the (Ross and Locke) Malgrave River (Mulgrave River), is a target for removal.

Queensland Environment and Science Department speaker says the Queensland crocodile management plan (Queensland Crocodile Management Plan), Goldsborough (Goldsborough) Aquatic Recreation area is planned as category C area. Any small crocodile that is longer than 2 meters long or has dangerous behavior is the removal target.

Because the crocodile poses unacceptable risk to the community residents and the local terrain is difficult to set trap, the final decision to humanitarian euthanasia. The decision was a last resort.

Local residents are reported to have witnessed the crocodile on the bank for the first time on March 19.

The Queensland Department of Environment and Science says the Malgrave River is a famous crocodile habitat. All waterways in northern Queensland are at risk of crocodile infestation, and people should be careful, even without any warning signs.
