This week`s news of Australia`s immigration plan for the next fiscal year came out little by little, with immigration setting a total quota of 16W per year for the next four years, with details coming out.

The continental government`s population policy for the new fiscal year includes three aspects:
Immigration policy, reduce ceiling quotas, guide migration to areas outside of major cities
Construction of additional transport infrastructure
Federal and state, territorial governments work closely to ensure that infrastructure matches local population needs.

Fiscal year 2019 / 20 Immigration Policy
Immigration gives official information that immigration changes in the new fiscal year are in four areas.
01, quota reduction
After reading the news over the past few days, we have all determined that the quota limit for each of the next four years will be 16W per annum. Today, the Immigration Service has given the quota ceiling for each immigration category. See below a comparison of the quota ceilings for all categories of immigrants in fiscal year 2019 / 20 and fiscal year 2018 / 19.
According to the table above, all categories of quotas have actually been reduced, in addition to the new categories.
Notably, the Employer Sponsored category includes two types of visas, 186 and 187, sharing a quota ceiling of up to 30, 000.
But this is still more than 5000 fewer than the 35528 quotas actually used in FY17-18, of which 29307 were signed and 6221 signed. Therefore, the progress and situation of these two types of visa applications in the new fiscal year is not optimistic!
The original state guarantee category changed from the state and remote states to the state category, with a reduction of 3882 quotas! According to Neolithic Research, the reduction of 3882 quotas should be fully transferred to the new immigration category-14000 places in the Skilled Work Regional!

Visa is a new type of visa. One is Skilled Employer Sponsored, the other is Skilled Work.
Regional. And the 489 full name is Skilled Regional (Provisional), so I believe there will be two new visa codes, and the 489 will no longer exist!

This should be done to avoid confusion with the current 489 visa category. That may also mean that 489 remote states who have applied for or received a visa for permanent residence in 887 are most likely to follow current policy-two years of living in remote areas, one of which meets job requirements.
It is believed that the invitation to submit 489 will not be much affected, and it is suggested that those who have already been invited should do so quickly in the current fiscal year. Especially in May-June, those invited 60 days will be valid for the new fiscal year, is not recommended to wait until then.
According to the above analysis, the number of visa categories that applicants from remote states can apply for starting from the new fiscal year should no longer be 489, but the new visa category Skilled Work Regional Visa.
State/Territory Nominated categories from the previous 190 and 489 to the present only 190, the quota ceiling appears to have been reduced only 3882, but the previous fiscal year 2017 / 18 actual use quota of 27400! In other words, there is a shortfall of at least 2432 quotas for 2019 / 20190 in the new fiscal year! If state governments do not exhaust all quota caps, the actual shortage of quotas is far more than 2000!

1. If the quota for the New Zealand branch of 189 is not reduced, the quota for the 189 branch of skilled immigrants is equivalent to a reduction of 25338, or 65 percent in real terms.
2. If the quota for the New Zealand branch of 189 was reduced by the same proportion, the quota for the 189 branch of skilled immigrants would have been reduced by 22652, or 58 percent, in real terms.

Please look at the EOI official data as of February, the total number of invitations for February is 1500.

2. [189] applicants need to objectively examine the gap between the current individual score and the expected invitation score for the next fiscal year. If this fiscal year is too late to be invited, or if you can`t get extra points or even lose more points in the next fiscal year, consider that migrants from remote areas should be on the agenda.

1. With the experience of the past ten years and the practice of every change of government, the fact that you have been invited, signed, or signed 189 and 489 is basically unaffected by the new deal. It is hard to say whether the 190 signed after the new fiscal year will be subject to additional restrictions. 4. Students who are still studying need to consider applying to study in remote areas as soon as possible if they have a strong intention to emigrate. At present, many Australian universities have rejected applications for admission in July, some of which are due on April 1 or early May. In addition to the potential state guarantees for graduation in remote areas, according to the Australian government`s latest policy announced yesterday, international students who have completed their studies in remote universities will be granted an additional one-year graduate visa to work full-time! 5. If a spouse or parent immigrant applicant is interested in applying for these two categories of visas, be sure to start early, as the trial period is gradually extended to the indisputable fact!
The quota for spouse immigrants appears to remain the same. According to the Neolithic comparison chart, the quota ceiling for the 2019 / 20 fiscal year is based on the amount actually used in the previous fiscal year of 2017 / 18, which is 8026 fewer than the quota ceiling for this fiscal year and the past few fiscal years!
