Victoria police say an Asian-American woman met someone she met through dating software and was imprisoned for up to four days, during which she was sexually assaulted several times.
A 39-year-old Vietnamese woman met a man through dating software a few weeks ago and agreed to meet outside on March 25, according to Radio 7.
The man from (Darley), north-west Melbourne, later imprisoned the victim at her home, threatening the victim with weapons, including a crossbow.
The victim`s friend contacted the man to inquire about the woman`s whereabouts. The man finally let the woman leave on the 29th.
The victim, who was seriously injured in her head and body, was taken to hospital for treatment.
Today, the 32-year-old man was arrested by police. The police will file a formal charge at a later date.
