Australian A $50 notes will be in circulation on Oct. 18, the Australian News Network reported. On Monday, (Reserve Bank of Australia), the bank of Australia, shared the features of the new bill with some members of the Australian Visual Disability Association (Vision Australia) in Melbourne.

It is reported that the new A $50 bill looks very similar to what it is now in circulation, but a close look at it shows that there are many new features on the note that not only prevent forgery, but also benefit the blind and visually impaired.

New features include a larger transparent window running through the top and bottom. When the money is tilted, a black swan appears to be about to take off.

Inside the transparent window is a hologram of a church with the word "50" on it, which reverses when looking from one side to the other. In addition, both sides of the note are marked with discoloration.

When tilting up and down the bill, you can also see aboriginal writer and inventor (David Unaipon) `s avatar with some abbreviated text next to it.

Moreover, the edge of the new A $50 note has four raised dots, which will help blind and visually impaired people distinguish the face value.

Bolton (Lindsay Boulton), assistant governor of the bank of Australia, said the new features would make it difficult to forge money and, more importantly, help blind and visually impaired people.

Fritenberg (Josh Frydenberg), Australia`s finance minister, also said the A $50 upgrade not only represented a big step towards social equality for the blind and visually handicapped, but also increased the forgery-proof nature of innovative security features on the banknotes. He pointed out that the denomination note was the most widely circulated in Australia. Forty-six percent of Australian banknotes currently in circulation are A $50 bills.

Fletenberg also said today that the Australian Reserve Bank is expected to release new versions of its A $20 and A $100 bills in 2019 and 2020.
