A recent search warrant found 10 tons of illegal tobacco worth about $10 million. "to be honest, the market value of tobacco is very high," said Andrew Holman, an executive officer of the Australian Border Agency.

The owner of the tobacco was accused of selling the illegal goods through a number of distribution stores in Victoria.

It is reported that criminal gangs illegally import these tobacco, taxpayers lost two hundred and twenty nine million nine hundred and ninety nine thousand nine hundred and ninety nine yuan. As a result, the police took action.

In an effort to combat rising crime trends, the state government has enacted tough new laws, including a tripling of the maximum fine and a 10-year maximum sentence.

The government has also set up a new multi-agency action team. "We will find you and sue you," Holman said.
