According to Radio 7, a couple in Melbourne cried after being told of the lottery prize when uninformed children saw their reaction and thought which family member had died.
A couple from Melbourne`s Monitang (Moonee Ponds) won the TattsLotto lottery on Saturday for a prize of A $1364143.36.
The couple`s wife said they were a little shocked about winning the prize. Her husband went out for a cup of coffee on Sunday and called her crying to tell her the good news.
When they heard the news, they wept so much that their children mistakenly thought a family member had died.
The wife also said they thought the neighbor`s cat had brought good luck because her husband had seen the cat at their doorstep when she went out to buy a lottery ticket.
It is reported that the couple had intended to sell the house, but now do not need to do so. They are going to buy a new car and travel to Europe.
