Real Malaysian tourists are becoming more and more difficult to enter Australia due to previous passport counterfeiting problems, according to the Australian News Network.

A source at the Malaysian Consulate in Sydney told Australian News Network that more and more Malaysians are being shut out of the airport even though they have been granted a tourist visa before leaving.

"they called us and wanted us to help them enter the country, but once the authorities made the decision to expel them, there was nothing we could do," the source said.

Malaysia has the most overstayers, followed by China, the United States, the United Kingdom and India, a (Department of Home Affairs) spokesman for the Interior Ministry confirmed.

Visa cancellations vary for different reasons, but mostly because Malaysians who accept work as fruit pickers do not get proper work visas.

Last year, the former Australian High Commissioner in Malaysia, Smith (Rod Smith), wrote a letter warning Malaysians to be wary of scams to find jobs in Australia.

Malaysian consulate sources said Malaysians are finding it increasingly difficult to enter Australia, as a significant number of people seek protection visas, and those granted such visas can enjoy all the conveniences, including unlimited rights to work.

A spokesman for the Interior Ministry denied that Malaysians had been treated differently at the border because of recent visa problems.

"about four hundred thousand Malaysians come to Australia every year to study, do business and travel, but we also have strict procedures to ensure that our visa system is not abused by others," the spokesman said. Before going to Australia, people need to make sure they have the right type of visa. "
