The Sydney Morning Herald reported a drowning tragedy on Christmas Day on the southern coast of NSW. A South Korean man was found drowning after he disappeared while snorkeling.

The 46-year-old man, from South Korea, came to Australia on a student visa. On Christmas Day, the man disappeared while snorkeling east of (Lake Conjola), Lake Conjoera. His family called the police when they noticed the situation and opened a search with surrounding people.

Before 02:40, the man was pulled ashore from the water. Although all sides try to rescue, but unfortunately, the man was declared dead.

It is understood that on Christmas Eve, Melbourne just had a tragic drowning accident. The father and son were drowning while swimming on (Phillip Island) Beach on Philip Island. One of them, a 45-year-old middle-aged man, was dragged ashore from (Woolamai Beach) in (Newhaven), New Paradise, and died. Another 20-year-old was found missing and also died. Another boy was rescued after struggling to swim ashore and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
