Melbourne police stopped a five-seater car on a northeast road Friday night and found 18 men on board, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

It is reported that around 07:45 on Friday night, a Ford F350 car appeared in (Para Road), Para Road, in (Montmorency), MonMolanci, while several men were sitting behind the vehicle in a similar truck barricade.

A total of 18 men, including drivers, were found to have stopped the vehicle at (Hoban Avenue). The driver`s blood alcohol reading was 0.071.

The illegal vehicle was seized by police. The 46-year-old driver, from MonMoranci, was charged with drunken driving and other driving-related charges.

Police are known to be conducting a state-wide road operation called "Operation Roadwise," which will continue until January 6. Police will crack down on drunken driving, drug driving, speeding, distracting driving, fatigue driving, and not wearing seat belts in an effort to improve drivers` driving behaviour.
