Last May, a Chinese man in Melbourne was stabbed by an attempted carjacking gunman, the Herald Sun reported. The drug addict was jailed for five years.

Melbourne Chinese men's rail station was stabbed by a knife, the bandits shouted: where to get back to where!

The Victoria Intermediate Court, (County Court of Victoria), heard that before the incident, Shu-Hua Hung, parked his car near the (Hoppers Crossing) railway station at Hupo Street pass. Eddie (Jake Eddy), 26, then broke into the car door of Hong Shuhua. And asked him to hand over the key.

Hong said no, and Eddie took out a spring knife and stabbed him in the leg, spitting at him and shouting "where did you come back?"

After the attack, 23-year-old Hong Shuhua was taken to the hospital to undergo surgery, reattach a muscle in the leg, and remained in hospital for 4 days.

Three hours after the incident, police found Eddie hiding near the (Werribee Mercy Hospital) car park at Willerby Mercy Hospital and arrested him.

Police searched Eddie and found that he was carrying a spring knife, 3.59 grams of amphetamine (Speed) and 85 Zanno (Xanax). Eddie was also found to contain ecstasy, meth, marijuana and alcohol.

Eddie initially denied stabbing Hong Shuhua and told the police that he just wanted to use the victim`s phone, but that "Asians are hard to deal with."

The court also heard that Eddie had a criminal record. At the time of the crime, he was in the process of enforcing community disciplinary orders. A few months ago, he appeared in court on charges of weapons and attacks.

Judge Cannon (Gabriele Cannon) said Hong Shuhua had been seriously hurt. Many photos of Hong Shuhua`s injuries submitted to the court were appalling.

"you`re approaching a young man who`s busy doing his job," she told Eddie at the sentence. "he`s just parked in a public parking lot. Your behavior is frightening, and frankly, it is barbarous. "

"what you have done is cruel and despicable." Cannon eventually sentenced Eddie to five years in prison, at least three years before he could apply for parole.
