Just around 7 a. M. that day, 14-year-old Asian girl Aivy was on her way to school, as she crossed the road when she was knocked down by a truck on the Maroondah highway, just 10 minutes from her home!
Witnesses hastened to help, medical staff were also in full care, but after being sent to the Royal Children`s Hospital, Aivy is still dead!
And angrily, the truck didn`t stop even after it knocked her down!
Her family mourned and prayed for her at the corner of the accident that night, leaving flowers, candles and biscuits for their most precious Aivy.
Residents nearby say that long before the accident, the intersection was already a dangerous part of the area where there were frequent accidents!
Many parents said they would rather let their children walk a few more ways than get around the crossroads.
Just last night, a woman in Sydney was knocked down by a northbound truck as she crossed the intersection of Tangerine St and Woodville Rd in Villawood at 09:35 on Thursday night!
