Tourism economy lost 200 million yuan! Why are overseas tourists unwelcome to Western Australia?

Its pristine beaches, endless inland and most isolated capital city: the location of Perth, world-famous.

But despite the influx of international tourists into less scenic parts of Australia, Western Australia has fewer tourists than ever before.

Last year, the number of tourists in the state grew by only 1% compared with the previous 12 months.

However, for a booming tourism industry, the real losses are those who choose to travel to the west, who don`t spend as much time as they used to, and don`t spend as much money as they used to.

In fact, spending by overseas tourists fell 8.3 percent in the 12 months to the end of March, causing the government economy to lose 200 million yuan.

That, combined with a 2 million-night stay-off during the tour, led to a once-unforeseeable slump in tourism revenues.

Before that, in a state campaign, Labour relied on attracting more tourists to diversify its economy.

In the run-up to last year`s election, Western Australia Governor Mark McGowan (Mark McGowan) said: `our travel plan is a real change for Western Australia.

But since then, government`s travel strategy today has raised widespread scepticism.

Evan Hall (Evan Hall), chief executive of the Tourism Commission, also criticised government`s performance in the tourism industry, saying: "there is a huge gap between government`s plans and implementation."

Interestingly, the tourism recession contrasts sharply with the boom in Tasmania and the capital territories, both of which have seen unprecedented spikes in tourist numbers, up 20% and 15.8%, respectively.

This trend continues throughout the eastern coastal region.

At the same time, the number of overseas tourists in Victoria increased by 9 percent, that in the new state by 8.5 percent, and the number of foreign tourists in Kunzhou by 5.5 percent over the previous year.

But in the past 12 months, Western Australia`s countless natural wonders have attracted many celebrities.

Most notably, in December last year, tennis legend Roger Federer (Roger Federer) took a selfie with a short-tailed kangaroo while on vacation in (Rottnest Island), off the coast of Perth, for the second time he tried to shoot.
