A young woman was bitten in the leg by a shark near the Great Barrier Reef in the far north of Kunzhou on Sunday evening, Times reported.

According to the Queensland Ambulance Service, a 21-year-old woman was attacked by a shark and his leg was seriously injured, at about 30 p.m. on Sunday evening, about 530 kilometers north of Cairns.

She was taken to the Lockart River clinic for treatment by a rescue helicopter, and she was subsequently transferred to Cairns Hospital due to the severity of the injury.
