An elevated sign on Melbourne`s Taramalin Highway, (Tullamarine Freeway), collapsed and hit a car this afternoon, Radio 9 reported. The accident injured a woman.
At about 5: 30 p.m. on Tuesday, a high-rise sign collapsed and hit a black car on (Tullamarine Freeway), near Eisenton airport, on the Tara Marin road.
Emergency service personnel rushed to the scene after receiving the report.
An accident caused a female arm injury, she was taken to hospital for treatment, she is in stable condition. It is not clear whether the woman was the driver of the hit vehicle.
Affected by the accident, the Tara Marin Road to (Bulla Road) and Bell Street (Bell Street) entrance to Brahra Road was closed and the driver was advised to transfer ahead of time at English Street (English Street).
The state police said the road would be reopened after the investigation was completed and safety was confirmed.
