After more than half a month of double-digit growth, the state's new crown on friday seemed to see some light, health officials said there were signs of easing, but saturday afternoon announced another 108 new cases within 24 hours, and the state since the emergence of the new crown epidemic, the second highest increase in a day.
The highest single-day increase in Virginia was recorded on March 28, when 111 new cases were confirmed.

There are currently 509 active cases in the state and 25 people in need of hospitalization ,3 of whom live in intensive care units.
The state conducted a record 25,553 new crown tests on Friday, bringing the total number of tests since the outbreak to 906,574.
