Passengers were evacuated Friday afternoon after an accident broke out on a Melbourne bus in CBD, according to Channel 9. It was fortunate that no casualties had been caused by the incident.
At about 04:15 on Thursday, smoke was emitted from a bus in (Lonsdale Street), Longsdale Street, near (Russell Street), CBD Russell Street.
Metropolitan fire agency (Metropolitan Fire Brigade) personnel rushed to the scene of the incident after receiving the report.
Video shows a fire on a PTV bus and a lot of gray smoke, and firefighters are putting out a fire.

It is reported that the fire was controlled within 3 minutes.
The bus driver choked into smoke and was treated at the scene by paramedics, but without being taken to the hospital.
No one else was injured.
At present, the cause of the bus fire has not been determined.
