The debate over Australia`s population heated up again this week, with experts divided over the size of the population Australia is supposed to accommodate.

Australia`s current population growth rate is more than double that of the United States, Britain and even China, according to Radio 9. Some politicians argue that a surge in immigration-driven populations will help ensure Australia`s future prosperity.

But for Australians facing endless development, traffic jams and overcrowding every day, the claim is clearly hard to accept.

Credit Mosuisse (Scott Morrison) government has announced that it will limit the number of new immigrants to less than one hundred and sixty thousand a year in an effort to ease the current pressure on infrastructure in major Australian cities. And the number of permanent residency applications per year will be reduced by 30, 000 on the basis of the original one hundred and ninety thousand. But is that enough?

Journalist Bartlett (Liam Bartlett) interviewed Australian Federal population minister Tucci (Alan Tudge) on the issue. When asked about Australia`s future population growth, Tucci`s attitude was resolute. "Australia has the capacity to accommodate more people and the question is how we manage these growth," he said.

But is it sustainable to double Australia`s population to more than 45 million in just a few decades? Bartlett questioned this.

Smith (Dick Smith), a prominent Australian entrepreneur, also raised hopes for a big cut in new arrivals, saying Australia must slow population growth to keep pace with infrastructure improvements.

"We don`t want high apartment buildings and crowded roads, and we don`t want a decline in the quality of life," he told Bartlett in an interview. Politicians say we need more infrastructure. Nonsense. "

But planning consultant Geha (Shane Geha) says Australia does need more people to ensure economic`s prosperity, and says the ideal population for big cities like Sydney should be around 10 million.

Geha said Australia is already one of the luckiest countries in the world. With more people, Australia will be better off.

Government hopes to solve the problems of population drain and labor shortage in remote areas and revive local development. But the demographic problems of big cities have not been solved.
