3月21日，中午1:30左右，在大洋路上著名景点 Apollo Bay 附近一辆中国旅游大巴车与一辆逆行的私家车相撞。所幸没有人员死亡，但是私家车乘客受伤严重，大巴车乘客受到严重惊吓。
行车记录仪还原了事发过程，从记录仪上可以看到事发地点位于森林路段，树木对于司机的视线造成了一定的遮挡，而且当时阴雨天气道路比较湿滑。
中国的旅游大巴车在路上正常行驶，突然在前方弯路路段一辆私家车以较快的速度逆行驶来。据目击者称，在发现对方后旅游大巴已经开始减速，逆行的私家车也开始向旁边道路避让，但是还是没能阻止事故的发生。
