A taxi driver in Melbourne`s central business district was injured Saturday morning after being attacked by three men.
Before 03:30, a passer-by called the police after the driver was attacked on Lonsdale Street. The driver suffered injuries to his head and face. Later, he also found that his cell phone was also stolen.
The man was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Police are not sure whether the driver was attacked in a taxi or in the street.
Police are searching for three men involved in the attack, but have not released any descriptions of the culprits.
