More than 1200 foreigners were cancelled last year for attacks, drugs and other crimes, the Herald Sun reported.

In 2017-18, there were 620 New Zealanders, 124 Britons, 55 Vietnamese and 31 Sudanese among those whose visas were cancelled by the Department of the Interior`s (Department of Home Affairs) because of conduct issues, according to data.

Last year, about 500 people were withdrawn in connection with attacks and drug crimes. Many were involved in violence crimes, armed robbery and child sexual crime.

In addition, of the 1212 withdrawn signatures, as many as 440 in the new state. Next was Kunzhou (302), Victoria (218) and Western Australia (180).

It has been reported that the government will take further steps to expand the scope of mandatory legislation to expel more foreign-born violence crimes and sexual crime.

The new visa revocation bill will apply to convicted persons, including children, who are sentenced to two or more years in prison. Even if they end up free from jail, or sentenced to less than 12 months in prison, their visas will be revoked. Under the current law, a non-Australian citizen who is convicted of a serious crime and imprisoned for at least 12 months will not be revoked for "misconduct."

The new law targets violence and sexual crime criminals, such as trespassers, serious robberies, and serious violations of family violence injunctions.

Immigrant minister Komin (David Coleman) said earlier that the reform would help ensure the safety of Australia`s multicultural society. "the bill represents a clear and clear message from the Australian community that only those with good conduct have the privilege to come to or remain in Australia. Government will not tolerate non-citizen who have been convicted of felony crimes. "
