Two bike-sharing companies will quit Sydney and one of them will give the bike to users free of charge.
The Australian newspaper reported that Reddy Go, the only Australian-owned bike-sharing company, had informed its members that the company was in the process of restructuring, allowing users to pick up to two bicycles free of charge from a warehouse in Alexandria.
News Corp reported that Chinese company Ofo will also withdraw from Sydney and Adelaide within 60 days and move to other overseas markets.
Singapore`s oBike left Melbourne earlier this month. Many users cannot get back the 69 yuan advance because the app refund option is not available.
Bike-sharing projects are popular in countries such as China, but in Australia they have struggled with helmet laws, scribbling and complaints.
