I. Understanding visas
Based on the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement signed between China and Australia, (FTA), Australia goverment promises to open 5000 visa places for working vacations to mainland China every year. Note that the annual reference here refers to Australia's fiscal year, from July 1 to June 30 next year. From July 1 of each year, into the next year of distribution.
- Distribution of places in 2015 / 16: 1500 places in the first tranche (2015.9.21), 1800 places in the second tranche (2015.11.9) and 2460 places in the third tranche (2016.3.7), The total number is more than 5000 because some people give up the quota or the material is rejected, the actual issuance of visas should be about 5000;
- Annual quota distribution in 2016 / 17: the first batch is in 2016.9.5, the second batch is in 2016.10.10, and the third batch is in 2017.2.13;
- The number of places distributed in 2017 / 18: the first batch was in July 31 (earlier than in previous years), the second batch was in 2017.10.06, the third batch was 2018.2.28, and the 5000 places in this fiscal year were all put in place;
- Then there is the quota for the fiscal year 2018 / 19, which starts on July 2011, so the earliest quota will be in July this year.
What can I do in Australia with a job and vacation visa?
Job and vacation visa holders can engage in cultural exchange activities as well as work, tourism, and so on.
The basic limitations are:
- Entry within one year from the date of obtaining the visa, and the validity period of 12 months after the first entry;
- A cumulative 12 months of work in Australia, but not more than six months for the same employer, and a second visa, or 12 months, for which a specific condition is met;
- Participation in short-term studies of up to four months;
- Can travel to and from China and Australia many times within the period of validity of one year;
- Can be converted to a student visa, a work visa, etc., provided that you get a school offer or get a job (and the employer is willing to guarantee)
What are the basic eligibility requirements for visa application?
According to the current official eligibility requirements, the main points are as follows:
- Holding a valid Chinese passport;
- (B) at the time of submission of the application, it was 18 years of age but not under 31 (i.e., before its 31st birthday, the relevant law had been amended to 35 years of age, but the Immigration Service had not yet implemented it);
- (B) having higher education qualifications, or having completed at least two years of university studies (both tertiary and in-school, and not at a high school level);
- Basic English proficiency (IELTS score 4.5 or above, TOEFL, etc.);
- There is enough money to support working in Australia (about 5000 Australian dollars);
- At the end of the working vacation, there is enough money to buy tickets for return or continued travel;
- Meet moral and health requirements;
Working vacation visas from other countries (such as New Zealand) can still be applied for, meaning that each country is independent of each other and does not affect each other. The following details will specify the required supporting materials for each request.

2. How to apply for a visa

Important Note:
1. Reservations must be made at the time of opening of the quota for such visas (date and time that will be announced in advance, such as 9: 00 a.m. on XXXX) and not always available. In the future, each batch of opening hours will also be notified in advance, this official account will be notified at the first time.
2. The so-called online booking quota is an appointment to a visa center to submit materials in person, exact to a certain day, a few minutes. Detailed instructions and screenshots will be provided in the appointment process section below.
3. Each open reservation range is about one month, that is, the earliest reservation time to the latest reservation is about 30 days, weekends and holidays are excluded.

First, advance preparation
1. passport
Passport is the premise to apply for any visa, students who do not have a passport hurry to apply for one. You must provide a passport number when you apply for an online quota, so you cannot make an appointment without a passport.
2. IELTS (or other English certificate, within 12 months)
First of all, IELTS A, G can be, the total score of 4.5 can, do not require a single score.
Most of the students still choose to take the IELTS, the examination has a cycle. First of all, at least 23 days ahead of time, after the examination will take at least 2 weeks to get the results, so about a month before and after more than a month. As mentioned above, the maximum reservation period is 30 days, and it must be too late to register for IELTS, so it is best to get the grade or at least complete the registration before the appointment.
After all, since this money must be spent first, why not report earlier, so that the results come out only then, if not, there is still time to apply for the second time. For example:
"assuming that this year's quota of 2.22 is open, you can book to around 3.18 at the latest. If you get your IELTS score before 2.22, then you can make an appointment for any day of the month, which is more likely to happen. If you get your grades in March, you can only make an appointment for a few days, which is equivalent to reducing your chances of success. "
Once again, Australia's requirement for English is less than 12 months (though IELTS officially gave it a two-year deadline).
In addition to the IELTS test, there are other ways to prove English proficiency:
- TOEFL (iBT) four subjects (oral, reading, listening, writing) should have a total score of 32 or more. The applicant must take the examination and pass the examination within 12 months before the visa application is submitted.
- The total score of the four subjects (oral English, reading, listening, writing) of the PTE academic English examination should be more than 30 points. Applicants must take the test and pass the test within 12 months before the visa application is submitted.
- Cambridge English Test four subjects (oral, reading, listening, writing) should have a total score of 147 or more. The applicant must take the examination and pass the test within 12 months before the visa application is submitted. Please note that this is not BEC;.
- (B) completion of primary school studies and at least three years of secondary school studies in English-only schools;
- At least five years of secondary school studies have been completed in English-only schools;
- -completion of at least two years of full-time university programmes in English-only schools;
- English-only schools in Australia have completed at least one year of full-time university courses;
3. Notarization (optional preparation in advance, for reasons below, Chinese, need to be translated)
There are two materials that need notarization: diploma and transcript (those who have graduated also need all the transcripts during the notarization period, which can be obtained from the school archives; Undergraduate or college students who have completed two years of study do not need a notarization certificate because they have not yet obtained a diploma, only a two-year notarized report card is required.
The so-called notarization can only be done, each city has a notary office, is a branch of the judicial bureau, everyone Baidu your local notary office will understand, other agencies do not have the right to notarization.
Do you want to notarize in advance or not?
Local notarization time and fees vary greatly, this one can choose to do well in advance, can also get the quota to do. But one thing needs to be made clear first: if the notarization is done in advance, then there will be more optional time to make an appointment (at random within the range of one month), and if you are going to get the quota, then you will do it. Can only choose a later time (reserved time to notarize), which reduces the probability of appointment to the quota.
Diploma and transcript notarization
Students who have graduated from college or above can go directly to the school archives to get their transcripts (stamped), and then take their graduation certificates and transcripts to the notarization office for notarization. They need to be translated.
If you have not graduated from an undergraduate or college, you need to go to the academic Office of the University to issue a report card (stamped) for a year or two, and then go to the notary office for notarization. (it's okay to finish two years of college. There's a precedent for success.)
Note: when submitting materials, you need to submit the original notarization certificate. If it is possible to use a notary certificate (such as studying abroad) later, it is suggested that you should have one more copy when notarizing it, and generally charge an extra 20 yuan for the cost of work.
Of course, early preparation may also include psychological adjustment, such as how to convince your family.
4. Relevant overseas education
According to the above requirements for English performance, if one of the following requirements is met, no additional English certification or notarization diploma or transcript is required, as notarization offices in the country do not give notarization either.
- Completed at least two years of full-time university programmes in English-only schools
- At least one year of full-time university courses have been completed in Australian English-only schools
Overseas qualifications need to be provided: China Ministry of Education overseas certification, graduation certificate, transcript of three copies of the color version can be.
2. Booking places online
First of all, the reservation site is not the official website of the Australian Immigration Service, it is the website of the company VSF. Appointment to the quota, you can download confirmation letter, with confirmation letter can go to the visa center to submit materials, and then approval before getting the visa.
Note: you must submit your materials to the Visa Center on the date you choose to make your appointment. The overdue date is deemed invalid, but if you are late on the same day, there is no problem. There will be a date selection step in the appointment step, and the appointment range is usually about a month or so.

Note:
(1) 462 visas can only be made online, and telephone appointments and e-mails are not accepted; (2) visa materials can only be delivered after receipt of advance letters; (3) incorrect types of applications cannot be accepted.

If multiple people help one person to rob at the same time, they must use their respective mailboxes, but the website eventually allows only one passport number to take a quota, so the middle process can be assured of bold robberies. If you see a reminder that the passport number has been applied for, It means that the others applied for it first.

Step 5, fill in the information.
Before application, you should be familiar with the content of the information, apply for the day speed RP typing speed, you can put the information in advance in word, then directly copy.
Note:
- Asterisk part required, landline number does not need to fill in;
- Area code is also required, is the domestic long-distance area code, such as Shanghai is 021, not 0086;
- Mailbox will automatically appear there, can not be modified;
- It doesn't matter if you fill out your surname and first name. Someone can fill in the wrong name and sign it. If you fill out your passport number, you won't be able to fill in the wrong passport number. You can write all the information in advance in the document.
Step 6, select a specific submission date and time.

At this point, your email will receive an email, open the attachment to see the PDF file in figure 2 below, select the corresponding number to fill in the page, click submit.
If all of these steps are completed, the web page will automatically pop up a reservation letter (and e-mail to your email as well). III. Physical examination (before submission of material)
The applicant needs to have a medical examination before submitting the material, and no longer by the visa officer during the course of the examination. (if the medical examination is not completed before the submission of the material, the visa officer may also send you an email during the hearing to send you a medical examination. However, do not rule out the risk of strict compliance with the process, it is recommended to apply for HAP ID in advance and complete the physical examination).
After receiving the quota, go to the nearest official Australian hospital for a medical check-up before submitting the material. After the completion of the medical examination, the hospital will send the results directly to the embassy, do not need the applicant through the hands. You only need to complete the physical examination before you hand in the material, do not need to ensure that the results of the physical examination will come out at that time, so it is OK to submit the material for the physical examination on the same day, and you can also reduce the road fare.

Physical examination should take passport, 4 2-inch passport standard photos and medical examination letter (some medical examination center is scene photograph, specific can telephone consult in advance), on-site pay physical examination fee (cost is different all over the place).
Since Nov. 20, 2015, all applicants have been required to have a general health check (501) and an X-ray (502), the latter mainly to check for tuberculosis. Tuberculosis has been cured without impact, hepatitis B virus carriers will not suffer discrimination.
IV. Prepare all the materials
Two points need to be emphasized:
- Now notarization materials and resume need Chinese and English version, notarization time need to be translated;
- With the exception of two notaries (graduation certificate and transcript), all materials are not required to provide the original, a color copy can be obtained

5. Personally submit materials to the Visa Centre
