On a renting billboard for a rented house in Monton (Mentone), south-east Melbourne, a handwritten against China slogan "not welcome to the Chinese" (Chinese not welcome). Was posted.

Snam (Garbageman Sinan) saw the slogan as he collected garbage Wednesday morning, making him "very sick", the Daily Mail reported. Snam took a picture of the slogan and sent it to Melbourne`s 3AW radio station. "I drove through Chettenham (Cheltenham), in the morning just past this property sign, and the rental ad says, `Chinese are not welcome.`" Snam said.

It is understood that the real estate agency Buxton. is in charge of renting the property. Holliwell (Cathy Halliwell), manager of the company`s leasing division, told the Daily Mail that they did not know who had posted the against China slogan, but it was "a great disgust" to them. Holliwell also said that by the time she drove past the property at about 11:00 on Wednesday, the against China slogan had been removed and that neither the estate agency nor the current tenants knew who had posted it. "Rent billboards are still there, but racist slander slogans have been removed," she said.

The people who posted the racist slogan were denounced on social media. "as long as [the Chinese] live legally in Australia, they have the right to rent a house," one netizen said. Others speculated that there might be racist neighbors in the rented house, who posted slogans.

It is reported that the two-bedroom stand-alone house in Monton currently rents 380 Australian dollars a week.
