Victoria`s secret (Victoria`s Secret), which has coveted the overseas lingerie market for years, has finally opened its first flagship store in Melbourne, Australia.
The US-based lingerie giant unveiled the mystery of its flagship store at (Chadstone Shopping Center), the Chadstone Mall, where all of Vimi`s logos-sexy underwear, pink and black underwear, baby powder and pink striped bags-were displayed. Wardrobe-style displays, as well as scenes of Vimi Angels walking on stage t, still playing on the big screen.
Chadstone`s vast space is similar in design and layout to the retailer`s iconic location on New York`s Fifth Avenue (fifth Ave), where 11,999 pairs of lace and cotton underwear are said to be in a display cabinet.
About 1000 customers have lined up before the store opens.
This retail space showcases all of Vimi`s key product lines, including the best-selling bomb bra (Bombshell bra) series, Body by Victoria series, Very Sexy series, Dream Angels series, and young sports underwear, Victoria`s Secret Pink collection.
The store sells for about the same price as in the United States (given currency exchange and taxes), and the best-selling "bomb" bra, the (Bombshell bra), costs $105. The lingerie can add a cup to the wearer`s breast.
Other offers include three pairs of lace underwear priced at $55, free handbags (limited-time) for over 100 Australian dollars and a 20 percent discount on pajamas.
So far Victoria`s secret (Victoria`s Secret) has only opened a "mini" fashion store in Australia, selling only underwear, accessories and perfume, but not the brand`s signature bra.
Vimi has more than 1600 underwear and beauty shops around the world.
Three weeks ago, the lingerie giant held its annual t-show in New York, with supermodels Kendall Jenner,Bella Hadid and Adriana Lima attending the opening ceremony.
The brand`s collection for younger women, Victoria`s Secret Pink, is located next to Chadstone`s flagship store and has its own pink entrance.
For the world`s highest-paid supermodel, the Kardashian family`s Jenner, Vimi fulfilled her biggest model dream.
The 23-year-old Jenner, also a model for Chanel, told the New York Vimi show backstage: "what I often do is high fashion, but Vimi can show me the other side, which I can`t show in other brands."
Victoria`s Secret) announced this week that it had appointed fashion executive John Mehas as its new chief executive, hoping to boost the company`s current woes.
Mehas will take over from Jan Singer.Singer in January after falling sales of the brand and a reluctance to let larger or transgender models come under fire.
The parent company, L Brands, reported a net loss of 42.8 million yuan in the third quarter, after a net profit of 86 million yuan a year earlier.
"our top priority is to improve performance," said Leslie Wexner, chairman and chief executive of L Brands.
"our new leadership is looking at all of this from a new perspective-marketing, brand positioning, in-house talent, real estate portfolios and cost structures," he added.
"I believe that under the leadership of John, Vimi underwear will continue to be a strong brand and will provide products and experiences that resonate with women around the world."
Earlier this month, Ed Razek, marketing director of Victoria`s Secret (Victoria`s Secret), told Vogue magazine that this year`s show did not require transgender or larger models, causing a stir on social media.
He said, "No, I don`t think we should put transgender or larger models on the runway. Why not?" Because the show is a dream. It`s a 42-minute entertainment special. "
Razek then publicly apologized.
