PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), a consultancy, collected data and analyzed Melbourne to list the city`s most habitable, working and playful districts, according to Australian news agency PricewaterhouseCoopers.

PricewaterhouseCoopers has collected a wide range of Melbourne data, including education, old-age care, childcare, religion, crime rates, health care, construction approvals, rent, loans and so on.

The analysis found that Melbourne`s bipolar social situation is becoming more and more obvious, the development of inner city obviously surpasses the outer city.

The ranking, which assesses the livable nature of urban areas, shows that many inner cities are listed as the most habitable, working and playful cities, while the outer cities need to work harder.

It is reported that the most suitable for living in the top 10 of the city, inner city occupies a dominant position. Richmond (Richmond) came first, followed by Hawthorne (Hawthorn), Hawthorne (Hawthorn East) and Munitang (Moonee Ponds), in addition to Northcott (Northcote), Prahan (Prahra) and Molvin (Malvern), also in the top 10.

In terms of employment, (Docklands), Duckland, and (Southbank) on the south bank are in the top three. Although inner cities are also dominant in this category, the western districts of Chukanina (Truganina) and Tanette (Tarneit) also scored high, reflecting the development of corridor employment.

The best city to play is downtown Melbourne, which has better dining, entertainment and sports facilities. Followed by Saint Kitts and (St Kilda), East Melbourne (East Melbourne) and Albert Park (Albert Park).

In addition, the analysis also pointed out that northern Melbourne, especially in the peripheral urban areas, in terms of employment and infrastructure development has not kept pace with the rate of population growth. While employment growth is strong in the west, recreational facilities are limited, with fewer parks and gardens than in the eastern part of the city.

Sax (David Sacks), who conducted the analysis, said the report showed a wide gap between inner and outer Melbourne. The two areas of serious differentiation, opportunities, economic development, employment and other distribution is very uneven.

Simo (Peter Seamer), a former director of the Victoria State Planning Office, agrees, noting that inner-city residents enjoy better employment, transport and cultural services, which are not available to buyers of new homes in the outer city. But it has to bear the cost of its construction and development.
