ACT
ACT, small as it is, has always been a popular choice for the state.
And the ACT policy is more comprehensive and stable. Although its state guideline will be updated every one or two months, it is mostly a change in the wording of individual places, and it does not affect the overall situation, nor does everyone have to worry about it.
Over the past few days, there has been a lot of discussion about the ACT state, and students have come to ask questions. Having contacted the state goverment, it is now confirmed that:
Too many applications, 2017 / 18 fiscal year has exceeded the quota.
The ACT nomination criteria will change dramatically in FY18 / 18!

Whether full-time or part-time, technical or nominating, depends on visa categories and residence over the past two years. Note: student signing can be considered full-time 20 hours a week.

South Australian local graduates can nominate a supplementary list of occupations, (Supplementary Skilled List), and a specific occupation, (Special Conditions occupations)., on the list of South Australian occupations. For graduates with an undergraduate degree or above, the previous requirements were:
Meet general work experience requirements (1 year over the past 3 years) or currently work in South Australia.
Now read as follows:
Meet general work experience requirements (1 year over the past 3 years) or technical work in South Australia in the past 3 months.
In other words, previously, graduates from South Australia applied to the state as long as they were in a technical job, even for a few days, and now they have to work for at least three months. The requirement for holding an Diploma or certificate degree remains the same.
Does it have a big impact? It depends on who is right.
For careers such as accounting, auditing, finance managers, welfare workers and so on, South Australia itself has required local graduates to have one year of work experience, so these three-month requirements have no impact on them.
For the vast majority of occupations that did not otherwise require extra work, including a large number of IT and engineering classes, it is an explicit requirement to have at least three months of work experience.
