An outdoor swimming pool in the eastern part of Sydney has failed to heat the thermostats, leaking carbon monoxide indoors, causing seven people in the house to be poisoned and suffering from nausea, dizziness and headaches, which need to be taken to hospital for treatment.

At 01:30 on Monday, Julian and Anne O`Neil, owners of a home in Wentworth Rd, Vaucluse, reported to the police when they found three children suspected of fainting from carbon monoxide inhalation.

The owner and his wife, who were taken to Prince of Wales Hospital (Prince of Wales Hospital), and the other two children, were taken to Sydney Children`s Hospital in stable condition. Four of the children were under 18 and the other 19.

"it`s a good result, but it can get very bad," New York Fire and Rescue Inspector Russell Johnson said at the scene.

Firefighters detected high levels of carbon monoxide around the house and traced the leak to the pool`s heating system.

Josh Turner, the fire brigade`s supervisor, said carbon monoxide gas leaked from a faulty swimming pool to the house. "it`s a swimming pool heater that emits carbon monoxide, which is normal, but it seems that the exhaust system is out of order, causing carbon monoxide from the heater to seep into the house as if it were on a cooking stove."

Neighbors said the house had only been renovated in recent months and the owner and family had moved back soon. Another neighbor also said he was surprised by the accident because owner Julian was a prominent figure in the construction industry and ran Gunlake Construction Company.

Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless, lethal gas that reduces the body`s oxygen levels and damages organs and brains.
