'Don't mislead Chinese tourists any more!', University of Sydney: we're not here for Harry Potter.

This is the University of Sydney. It's really British, but it's not Harry Potley's Hogwarts School of Wizardry!

Some Chinese websites claim that Harry Potter was filmed at the University of Sydney because it has become a popular selling point for many Chinese tourists.

A tourist said the tour guide told him that the Harry Potter movie was filmed and produced here.

The University of Sydney noted that since February 2017, there has been a significant increase in traffic on the Camperdown campus, but it is not easy to prevent any tourists from sightseeing.

Some Harry Potter fans want to see witches on campus.

Dr Jamie Fraser, a senior curator at the university's Nicholson Museum, said the real Hogwarts shoot was at Durham Cathedral in the UK, and none of the Harry Potter films had been taken in Australia.

But there are still a lot of people at the museum's front desk asking questions about where Harry Potter is being filmed.

Australian media have tried to contact tour guides that mislead tourists, but she declined to speak.
