Introduction of Deepwater National Park

Located on the eastern coast of Queensland, Deepwater National Park is about 460km from Queensland's capital Brisbane and covers an area of 43.9 square kilometers.

Composed of sandy beaches, diverse coastal lowland vegetation and nearby pure deep-water waters, Deepwater National Park is one of the few remaining unpolluted freshwater streams in Queensland, home to numerous species of wildlife. . Deepwater National Park, including a variety of bird species such as emus, red-tailed black parrots, honey birds, chestnut kites and all kinds of waterbirds, is also home to sea turtles' survival and reproduction. From January to April, the number of young sea turtles hatched on the beach began to increase slowly. Most of them climb out at night, trying to climb to the sea and start their lives.

Visitors to Deepwater National Park, can visit rock pools in the sunken rock of (Wreck Rock), or have barbecues or camping in shaded camps behind sand dunes, and (Middle Rock) in the middle of the rock can camp in the middle of the jungle and enter the park free of charge. But camping requires a fee and an advance reservation.
