Fort Glanville is a castle on the northern outskirts of Adelaide, about 15 kilometers south of (Semaphore Beach) on Samaver Beach, about 15 kilometers from the city of Adelaide. Fort Glanville was a fortress built in the nineteenth century to defend against sea intruders. It is now open to the public as a historic site, with complete facilities including turrets, barracks, dormitories, tunnels and other facilities revealing Australia's colonial history.
