Located in the eastern Victorian mountains, Mount Buffalo National Park is about 350km by car from Melbourne, the capital of Victoria, and 30km from Bright, known for its Maple, and covers an area of about 310km.
Founded on Nov. 4, 1898, Mount Buffalo National Park is one of Australia's oldest national parks, built around (Mount Buffalo) of Buffalo and (Eurobin Falls) of Robin Falls, named after Mount Buffalo at 1723 metres above sea level. And was added to Australia's National Heritage list in 2008.
Mount Buffalo is a medium-height plateau to the west of (Victorian Alpine region) in the Victorian Alpine region, with stunning granite boulders and rock formations at the top of the mountain, and the highest point visitors can reach is a prominent one. The mountain, called the trumpet (The Horn), has a walkway to the peak, and visitors can enjoy a spectacular 360-degree view from the top.
Mount Buffalo National Park has steep and rugged cliffs, various forms of boulders, mysterious underground caves and turbulent waterfalls, all converging into a magnificent landscape that sleeps at night listening to the murmur of water. This environment has also made it a paradise for extreme sports, free to choose from adventures such as rock climbing and gliding, as well as a mysterious adventure of exciting caves, the most amazing of which is a cliff picnic. Bold tourists can swing on the edge of the cliff, enjoy picnics while blowing mountain winds, and then take a good view of the magnificent scenery. There are 22 forest trails of varying lengths in Mount Buffalo National Park, each with a picturesque landscape, especially in summer, when the forest is filled with beautiful wild flowers.
It is worth mentioning that, Mount Buffalo National Park's camp is newly renovated and well-equipped, including mobility accessible bathrooms, free gas barbeques and picnic areas, and an excellent location. Overlooking the whole of Lake Catani, (Lake Catani).
