Horizontal Waterfall (Horizontal Waterfall, (Horizon Falls) (Talbot Bay)., Talbot Bay, (Buccaneer Archipelago), (Kimberley Region) Pirate Islands, Kimberley area, Northern Western Australia
Horizontal Waterfall is a natural wonder, and only two Horizontal Waterfall, in the world are located in Talbot Bay. What causes the waterfall to pour sideways? As the pirate archipelago has the largest tide gap in Australia (the difference between the tide and the ebb tide), as the tide rises and falls, a large amount of water is forced to pass through two narrow cliff passageways. Resulting in a sea-level difference of up to 4 meters and a unique waterfall effect.
Visitors can see and experience for themselves by approaching the waterfall in a boat or by visiting a plane to see Horizontal Waterfall, take part in a sightseeing plane or cruise from (Broome) or Derby to Horizontal Waterfall in Bloom.
